Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: August 2026
Advisor Stack (advisor-stack.com) is supported by affiliate marketing and advertising revenue. This disclosure explains our relationships with vendors and advertisers in compliance with FTC guidelines and our commitment to transparency.
1. Affiliate Relationships
Some links on this Site to tool vendors are affiliate links. This means:
- When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase on the vendor's website, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
- Affiliate tracking is handled via cookies or URL parameters managed by the vendor or their affiliate network.
- We participate in affiliate programs including (but not limited to) vendor-direct programs, Impact, PartnerStack, ShareASale, and CJ Affiliate.
2. Editorial Independence
Our editorial content is never influenced by affiliate relationships. Our commitment:
- Selection: Tools are selected based on market relevance to financial advisors/planners, not affiliate availability.
- Ranking: Categories and comparisons are based on features, pricing transparency, integration depth, and verified editorial analysis — not commission rates.
- Coverage: We include tools without affiliate programs (e.g., enterprise-only vendors) to maintain comprehensive coverage.
- Criticism: We note limitations, pricing concerns, and integration gaps regardless of affiliate status.
3. No Pay-to-Play
Vendors cannot pay for:
- Inclusion in the directory
- Better placement or ranking
- Favorable reviews or removal of criticism
- Suppression of competitor listings
All 30+ tools in our directory are included based on editorial judgment of relevance to financial advisors and planners.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We display advertisements via Google AdSense:
- Ad content is determined by Google based on your browsing history, site content, and advertiser targeting.
- We do not control which specific ads appear to individual users.
- Ads are clearly labeled as "Advertisement" or "Sponsored."
- You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
5. FTC Compliance
This disclosure complies with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). The FTC requires that material connections between advertisers and endorsers be clearly disclosed.
6. Your Trust Matters
We built Advisor Stack to be the most trustworthy resource for financial advisor technology decisions. Affiliate revenue supports our ongoing research, updates, and site maintenance — but it never compromises our editorial integrity.
